Originally designed by the Swedish Defence Department, The Firesteel Firestarter allows you to get a shower of sparks in any conditions.

Approved by the International Survival Instructors Association

Features:

• Durable (Lasts for at least 3,000 strikes)
• Works even when wet and cold - unlike matches and lighters
• Each strike provides a shower of 3,000º C sparks

To use:

1. Scrape protective paint from new firesteel with striker or knife
2. Pull blade or striker (text up) slowly and firmly down length of firesteel
3. 'Aim' sparks into dry tinder such as bark, dry grass, wood shavings or even cotton wool!
4. Can also be used to ignite camping stoves (gas or multi-fuel)
