This is a time-honoured design. Used for thousands of years by Irish Ghillies, the kettle's principle is simple, reliable and rugged.

Essentially a double walled kettle, with a void in the centre. A fire burns in the centre, using the void as a chimney. The surrounding water boils, the kettle whistles, and you have a brew. It really is that simple!

• Explorer - 1.0 litres
• Maverick - 0.5 litres

How to use:

• Simply fill the outer jacket of the kettle with water, place tinder in the base compartment, replace kettle and light via the side hole
• Replace whistle cap
• Feed fire from above, preferably using small twigs etc. Never hold handle above chimney when fire is lit
• When the cap whistles, remove cap carefully
• Pick up kettle by handle, holding it at 90 degrees to kettle body
• Pour by holding handle and chain to steady kettle
• Use excess water to extinguish fire if required

We use one of these, and we pretty much take it everywhere. From camping and beach days, to bbqs and picnics we are pretty much addicted to this rugged little thing!
